3 Things You Can Do to Enjoy This Year’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout – Wherever you are!
Whether you’re a local to LOTO or just visiting the lake as a tourist, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is an occasion that you don’t want to miss. It is the largest unsanctioned boat race in the United States, and it raises funds for fire departments and charities. This year is the 30th anniversary of the race, and events take place from August 18th through the 26th.
Here are some tips to make the most out of your Shootout experience:
1. Don’t miss the race!
Even if you don’t find yourself at Lake of the Ozarks MM31 to MM34, you don’t have to miss the race! You can watch the livestream of the Saturday and Sunday 2018 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout here! The stream starts on Saturday, August 25, and you can get a notification to watch the event live when it starts.
2. Donate to the Shootout charities!
This link will take you to the donation page for the Shootout. Raised funds will go to charities that help abused women and children, the homeless, the handicapped, and the hungry in the community. Funds also go to fire departments so that they may purchase the equipment they need to stay safe while saving lives and property.
3. Use the RaftUp app to help you through the poker run!
If you’re a poker run kind of person, we encourage you to participate in the Poly Lift Lake Expo Poker Run on Friday, August 24. You can use the RaftUp app’s events feature to view the poker run schedule and find your way to all of the stops – all you have to do is select the stop from the events tab and click “locate”. This will lead you to the stop’s location on the map! You can download the RaftUp app here!
